To start things off, I wanted to first give you a rundown of what you can expect from me and this page. If you haven’t already read my “about” page, my name is Megan and I’m here to not only help but also join you on this journey to achieving and maintaining optimal health. In a world where there is so much focus on the physical, it can be easy to get caught up in all of the fads and trends, making you believe you need to look a certain way. I’m here to change that mentality. You can look the way society tells you to look but still feel empty and unhappy. Now don’t get me wrong, I do want you to look YOUR best, but I also want you to feel your best. Optimal health goes so far beyond the physical, it deals with all aspects of wellness; spiritual, physical, emotional, career, intellectual, environmental, and social. We will touch on each, in ways that it pertains to your health and how you can improve each aspect in your life. Although we will touch on each aspect, the bulk of my posts will be related to emotional health as well as fitness and nutrition. I will provide you with fitness and nutrition plans and a wide variety of healthy recipes to add to your diet. I will use my education in health and human performance as well as my master’s degree in public health to give you valid and reliable information. Let’s get started!
